Overview

About the Role

Atlas Voyages is hiring a VP of Product whose mandate covers owning product strategy, portfolio priorities and commercial outcomes of the product line across its travel business. Based in Seattle, WA on a on-site basis, the role reports to the senior vice president or the relevant c-suite executive and carries a remit of Functional leadership across several teams and regions. Atlas Voyages is a travel platform serving leisure and corporate travellers. The appointed leader inherits 60–220 people and will be measured on the strategic priorities set out below rather than activity.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Lead product directors and group product managers across the portfolio
  • Set the discovery, prioritisation and outcome-review standard
  • Partner as a peer with engineering, design and commercial leadership

First 12 months

Strategic Priorities

Raise adoption and retention across the installed base
Bring a credible new revenue line to market within the first year
Concentrate investment on the areas with the clearest commercial return

Day to day

Key Responsibilities

  • Define measurable outcomes for each portfolio area and hold teams to them
  • Lead pricing, packaging and lifecycle decisions with finance and sales
  • Run continuous discovery with customers and the market
  • Communicate the product narrative to customers, partners and the board
  • Own the product strategy, roadmap and investment allocation

Leadership profile

Qualifications

  • Strong customer research and analytical instincts
  • Product leadership experience owning a portfolio and its commercial outcomes
  • Record of shipping products that moved adoption, retention or revenue
  • 12+ years, including 4+ leading managers of progressive leadership experience
  • Experience operating in the travel sector or an adjacent regulated market

  • Proven leadership of 60–220 people, directly and through other leaders
  • Accountability for a budget or P&L consistent with Functional leadership across several teams and regions
  • Experience presenting to executive committees, boards or investment committees
