About the Role

Atlas Voyages is hiring a VP of Information Security whose mandate covers owning the security programme, cyber risk posture and regulatory readiness across its travel business. Based in Seattle, WA on a hybrid basis, the role reports to the senior vice president or the relevant c-suite executive and carries a remit of Functional leadership across several teams and regions. Atlas Voyages is a travel platform serving leisure and corporate travellers. The appointed leader inherits 60–220 people and will be measured on the strategic priorities set out below rather than activity.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Brief the board and audit committee on cyber risk in business terms
  • Build a security culture that partners with, rather than blocks, delivery
  • Lead security engineering, operations, GRC and incident response teams

First 12 months

Strategic Priorities

Achieve and maintain the certifications customers require
Close the highest-severity control gaps on a funded, dated plan
Reduce mean time to detect and respond to material incidents

Day to day

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the multi-year security strategy, control framework and roadmap
  • Run threat detection, incident response and resilience exercises
  • Lead certification and audit readiness across relevant frameworks
  • Manage third-party and supply chain security risk
  • Quantify and report cyber risk to executive and board audiences

Leadership profile

Qualifications

  • Security leadership experience in a comparable risk environment
  • Depth in control frameworks, incident response and risk quantification
  • Experience reporting to boards and regulators
  • 12+ years, including 4+ leading managers of progressive leadership experience
  • Experience operating in the travel sector or an adjacent regulated market

Track record

Leadership Experience

  • Proven leadership of 60–220 people, directly and through other leaders
  • Accountability for a budget or P&L consistent with Functional leadership across several teams and regions
  • Experience presenting to executive committees, boards or investment committees
